The 2013 Young Inglewood Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a classy wine, richly endowed with aromas and flavors. The scent of ripe blueberries and boysenberries accompanies subtle notes of char and spice. Supremely smooth and balanced, the wine caresses the palate with layers of plush fruit, earth and mocha. The long enticing finish encourages further exploration.
Even conditions made the 2013 growing season at Young Inglewood close to ideal. A warm dry spring encouraged early bud break and flowering. Fruit set took place under sunny skies. Apart from one midsummer heat spike, temperatures were optimal for vine activity. Our fruit ripened evenly and the quality was outstanding.
